"I have never learned to drive and thus I move through most environments at the pace of my own two feet, or occasionally at the blistering speeds of TFW (Transport For Wales). In both instances the journey becomes the largest part of getting anywhere, and I find myself able to enjoy the rare pleasure of being something very small in a place very large.

I use traditional materials, ink and brush on paper, to capture an emotional response to the natural beauty of the Welsh landscape (and sometimes the UK at large). I paint in black because I enjoy the purity of the mark making process. There is no disguising a mistake when you work in black ink on white paper!"
