Strata Florida Exibition

A brief history of Strata Florida tells us that it is the site of a former Cistercian monastery which was of immense importance to Wales during the Middle Ages. Even today the place, its long history and landscapes have great significance for Welsh people and their culture.

The conserved ruins of its church and part of the cloisters are in the care of Cadw, the Welsh Government's heritage agency, and can be visited by the public. It is also the location of the Strata Florida Project with research, conservation and development being carried out by The Strata Florida Trust, following work by archaeologists at the University of Wales Trinity St David, Lampeter.

Until the end of summer, Rhiannon Center is proud to host an exhibition of Strata Florida's history and features.
